My names John, but most people call me Joe. This website contains examples of my work in the creative industries including audio and video production, technical documentation and design.


I've worked as musician from age 16 and have continued to play guitar, bass, keyboards and sing in multiple bands and projects - Music is my passion! I currently play guitar in a band called The TripDown Project.

I have engineered, recorded and produced tracks for several bands and audio projects, co-running a studio based in Lincolnshire. I've recently worked with a theatre company called LP Creatives and have filmed and produced music tracks for their productions.

I am also an experienced Creative Media Technician and Technical Operations Manager with over 24 years of experience in higher education. I have managed and supported a wide variety of Arts and Media based technical facilities used in film, TV, radio, performance and digital media content creation.

I bring proven expertise in technical support, procurement, team and project management and I am adept at planning, coordinating, and delivering projects on time and under budget. Notable achievements include successfully designing and creating new media facilities at Sheffield Hallam University, including an E-Sports lab, Immersive Learning Facility for a new Institute of Technology and a broadcast Radio and TV Studio.

I've also studied and continue to work with applications such as Adobe Illustrator and photoshop and have produced websites and graphics for web, print and screen.
